FACTORS INFLUENCING EMPLOYEE JOB SATISFACTION IN THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY IN TAMIL NADU: A STUDY
Abstract
Job satisfaction is the reflection of an individual's sentiments toward their employment. When an employee's expectations are met or exceeded, a sense of satisfaction ensues. Elevated job satisfaction tends to correlate with heightened organizational commitment, fostering increased productivity. This paper aims to evaluate job satisfaction, scrutinize its effectiveness, and pinpoint the myriad factors, both personal and organizational, that impact employee contentment. The study illuminates the degree of employee satisfaction across various facets of the organization. Notably, it underscores that employees generally exhibit a degree of satisfaction with their roles. Recommendations derived from the study emphasize considerations such as salary, interpersonal relationships between employees and supervisors, effective grievance handling, and the provision of able opportunities for new hires by the organization.
