RELATIONSHIP OF PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH WITH FOOD ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA
Abstract
Mind, soul and body are the poles of a person, because a person is created by the combination of these three. People are always working by his own physical and mental strength. The strength comes from food. According to Maharshi Charaka, food, sleep well and restrained senses are resorts for a human beings. These three things have to be applied rationally, otherwise the disease occurs.
Human body is made of cells, tissues and various organs. There are 78 organs in human body. Among these, five organs are most vital- heart, brain, kidneys, liver and lungs. If any of these stop functioning for a few times, human being will be death. Proper diet plan is one of the key to fit those organs, healthy, boost. All creatures live depend on mainly food. So, it called Body is annamoikosa. Also body and mind are interrelated each another. Food nourishes both.
Now a day, everyone understands that the healthy food and positive mentality are mostly important to fight against corona virus. According to Maharshi Charaka, food and drinks give strength and happiness to sense organs. These are fuel of inflammation.
