CONSTRUCTING AND STANDARDIZING DIMENSIONS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: A PERSPECTIVE FROM BEARERS OF THE WOODEN BADGE IN IRAQ

Abstract

The importance of the research lies in obtaining a codified measure of the dimensions of sustainable development to know the levels of dimensions of sustainable development enjoyed by the sample, which may contribute to influencing the individual or society and contribute to shaping their vision towards societal issues and the ability to analyze and comprehend them in order to take appropriate behavior regarding these issues and that sustainable development  Which is a set of integrated and multi-dimensional actions, with man as its absolute and goal, and it is only the result of concerted efforts undertaken by the living forces of the nation, as the Scout movement is considered one of the most voluntary educational movements that contribute to creating leaders from childhood, which is the cub stage, and continues into advanced stages of life.  Through its distinguished programs that focus on building leaders and creating competent leaders, this is what we see in the success of the Scouting movement in its work, as leadership is a source of strength, confidence and excellence at all times and places and has become one of the issues of concern to Scout leaders in any organization that seeks to raise its performance and present the results of the study to researchers.  And scout leaders in order to benefit from these results and apply them to scout teams, and the problem of the current research arises to shed light on the dimensions of sustainable development and its levels among holders of the wooden badge in Iraq to identify and enhance the strengths in the dimensions of sustainable development and the weak points and address them according to solid scientific foundations and put them within the reach of the leaders.  Scouts to help them find ways to develop the dimensions of sustainable development and prepare them to suit the requirements of advancement and development in the work of the Scouting movement. Because of the importance of these variables, they must be studied scientifically, and one of the main steps for this is to find an accurate measure. The research aims to build a measure of the dimensions of sustainable development for holders of the wooden badge in  Iraq.  And to identify the level of the dimensions of sustainable development from the point of view of the wooden badge holders in Iraq, extracting the standard levels of the sustainable development dimensions scale from the point of view of the wooden badge holders in Iraq.
