SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS OF DEPRIVATION IN SOME IRAQI FAMILIES

Abstract

The current study deals with the phenomenon of deprivation that so many Iraqi families face in the last few years. It tackles the severe and harsh conditions that result in many Iraqis suffer from the great lack of even the most basic necessities of their daily life. Some photos are used to be analyzed semioticallyso as to clarify the great disaster presented by the deprivation and poverty that Iraqis are obliged to face and resist.
