PARENTAL ATTITUDES TOWARD THE INCLUSION OF CHILDREN WITH PROFOUND INTELLECTUAL AND DISABILITIES IN EDUCATION
Abstract
The purpose of this case study was to find out the attitudes of parents towards mainstreaming children. Despite the growing advent of inclusive education, children with profoundintellectual and disabilities are slightly included. Because an underlying issue right here can be the attitudes of these without delay involved, the prevailing examine makes a specialty of the attitude of mother and father and relating variables concerning experience with people with disabilities. A self report questionnaire was completed by using parents of kids attending standard primary faculties inside the north of the Netherlands. Although mother and father confirmed a basic fantastic mindset, they have been most bad about the inclusion of kids. In addition, no experience with people with disabilities became slightly negatively associated with the parental attitudes. To triumph over limitations of the inclusion of kids with PIMD, together with negative parental attitudes, the results of the present study are mentioned within the light of possible interventions.
