FACTORS INFLUENCING CONSUMERS ADOPTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN NCR DELHI REGION: A PLS-SEM MODELING
Abstract
"Ecological emergencies and energy security concerns have compelled experts to seek a cleaner method of transportation. Vigorous efforts are underway to make electric vehicles (EVs) viable for commercial us in terms of technological advancements and financial feasibility. Despite being one of the leading vehicle manufacturing nations globally, the reception of EVs India has been suboptimal. Recognizing the societal significance and sustainability of EVs is imperative. To address this issue, the current study identifies the factors contributing to the adoption of EVs in NCR Delhi region. Survey of 543 respondents from NCR Delhi region study has identified three factors significantly affecting adoption of EVs in the region. PLS SEM modeling of data the findings may assist in guiding manufacturers and policymakers toward a faster adoption of EVs. This research endeavor will enhance scientists' understanding of the determinants responsible for the sluggish adoption of EVs in India, thereby aiding the Indian government achieving its ambitious goals outlined in the 'Distinction India' Initiative."
