Abstract

This research looks into how job crafting in the Chennai IT industry is affected by empowering leadership. With job crafting as the dependent variable, the study takes into account five aspects of empowering leadership: setting an example, participating in decision-making, coaching, informing, and demonstrating concern/interacting with the team. The model explains 72.6% of the variation in work crafting, indicating a substantial positive link between empowering leadership and job crafting. The model as a whole is statistically significant. Leading by example (β = 0.393), participatory decision making (β = 0.182), coaching (β = 0.122), informing (β = 0.151), and demonstrating concern/interacting with the team (β = 0.349) all have a substantial and beneficial impact on job crafting, according to the coefficient data. The findings demonstrate a strong relationship between empowering leadership techniques and workers' ability to actively modify and improve aspects of their occupations.
