Abstract

Climate change, which is natural and man-made is a threat to all living beings. The emission of greenhouse gases acts as the major catalyst of climate change. The paper concentrates on the effect of climate change on animals and birds (sensitive) and its impact on the environment. The earth is becoming warmer and due to this several species declines. The migratory birds and animals are most affected due to climate change and massive deaths are reported. In this context, the research aims to identify the animals and birds confronting climate change issues and the long-term challenges that kindle the existence of a healthy ecosystem. Climate change affects animals and birds in way of increased diseases and degraded habitats. Rising temperatures have an influence on vegetation, food resources, and water availability, among other things. These issues alter the food chains and result in the struggle for the survival of other animals as well. The migration of species due to climate change will also affect the food supply and income of human beings. Natural disasters have also increased to cause catastrophic loss of life and habitat of wildlife and human. Climate change forces humans and wildlife to shift their habitat which results in crowding and co-existence.

The protection of biodiversity is part and parcel of mitigating climate change. The trajectory of emissions and mitigation measures will determine the destiny of many fragile species. The paper aims to allude to suggestions and factors that can mitigate the impacts of climate change on animals and birds.
