 To Improve Kerala's overall resilience on disasters, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) collaborates with Local Self-Governments. The local bodies are often in close proximity to communities and have a thorough understanding of local conditions, their involvement is crucial. For the most up-to-date details on the role and function of Local Self-Government in disaster management, it's crucial to consult the most recent records and reports from Kerala's Disaster Management Authorities. In Kerala, the state's strategy for enhancing resilience and effectively handling both natural and mankind. This paper focus on  the role of Local Self-Government which plays a major role on Disaster Management .  in Kerala  through State Disaster Management Authority.
